Positive: Nothing Negative: Do not stay here — disturbing and completely unacceptable experience My stay at Citihome Luxury involved one of the most disturbing experiences I have ever had at a hotel or apartment. When I checked in, the bell attendant who showed me to the apartment handed me two bottles of what appeared to be drinking water as he was leaving. I had just arrived after a 9-hour overnight flight and had been awake for around 20 hours, so I went straight to sleep. During the night I woke up extremely thirsty, remembered the two bottles, grabbed one and started drinking from it. It was not water. It was hand soap. The bottle looked like a normal drinking-water bottle. I had already swallowed some before realizing what I was drinking. I immediately felt sick and was genuinely shocked and frightened that something given to me directly by a representative of the property as I entered my room contained soap instead of water. Whether this happened because of extreme negligence or for some other reason, I consider it an incredibly serious safety incident. A guest should never have to question whether a sealed-looking bottle handed to them by hotel staff is actually safe to drink. What made the situation even worse was Citihome Luxury's response. It took them approximately one week to review the incident. I asked for a refund for the one night during which this happened. They eventually agreed to the refund, but in the end nothing was refunded. After that, they simply stopped responding to me. The apartment itself was also disappointing. There was an active construction site directly across the road, so the apartment was quite noisy. The water pressure was poor, making it difficult to have a comfortable warm shower. The apartment also felt unfinished and rushed — various things felt loose, wobbly, or poorly installed rather than properly completed. I would strongly advise other travellers not to stay here.
